Bond and Infratech have teamed up to launch the new Infratech Smart Wall Switch and Smart Wall Dimmer, bringing smart control to Infratech outdoor heating systems. These WiFi-enabled devices, powered by Smart by Bond technology, allow users to turn heaters on/off, adjust heat levels, and set timers using the Bond Home App or voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This smart integration enhances comfort, convenience, and energy efficiency for users managing outdoor spaces.
For the IT and AV integration community, this marks an important development in smart outdoor automation. With Bond’s open API and Control4 driver support from Chowmain Software, dealers and integrators can now easily add Infratech heaters to their control ecosystems. No bridge is required for the heater integration, but the Bond Bridge Pro can extend smart control to other indoor and outdoor RF devices.
Bond and Infratech jointly announce the release of the Infratech Smart Wall Switch and Smart Wall Dimmer. Featuring Smart by Bond with built-in WiFi technology, these new devices bring smart control to Infratech outdoor heating systems. This native integration with Bond adds heaters to the Bond outdoor platform’s growing list of controllable devices such as motorized pergolas, awnings, shutters, ceiling fans, shade/privacy/solar screens, and more.
The Infratech Switch and Dimmer communicate via WiFi to the Bond Home App (smartphones). From the App or the physical wall Switch or Dimmer, users can turn the heaters on-and-off and adjust heat level. Incorporated is an automatic timer for energy savings and safety. The Switch and Dimmer also integrate with virtual assistant applications like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, bringing voice control to the heaters.
Bond’s open API platform makes integration into home automation systems easy for Infratech dealers. Chowmain Software’s updated Control4 Bond driver enables bi-directional control and feedback for on/off, dimming, and timer functionality of the heaters. Bond recently previewed integration of the Switches in their Q2 2025 Quarterly Dealer Training (see 13:33 minute mark).
As told by Bond CEO Zohar Shinar, “This Smart by Bond project is another step towards a complete and connected user-experience in the outdoors. This is especially important as each brand’s solutions are category-leading in the CEDIA channel. In addition, in accordance with new regulations for operating heaters, the new switches have built-in 2-hour timers.”
“We are excited to combine Infratech’s expertise in outdoor heating with Bond’s award-winning Smart Home platform, the result of which is a truly smart heater that offers unparalleled convenience, control, and energy efficiency,” says Infratech Director of Sales David Arnold.
Innovative and compatible with so many popular brands of RF-controlled motors, automation and virtual assistant platforms, Bond is the leading smart control platform for interior window shades, ceiling fans, and other devices by way of the award-winning RF-to-WiFi Bond Bridge Pro and associated Bond Home App.
In recent years Bond has expanded its platform to bring smart control to outdoor motorized pergolas, privacy/defense/solar screens and shades, LED landscape lighting, and more. Bond’s integration with Infratech represents the latest in its continued expansion into the outdoors.
This native integration with Infratech heaters is based on the incorporation of the two new Smart by Bond switches – no bridge is required. Infratech dealers seeking to add control of other Bond Home platform compatible indoor and outdoor devices can do so by adding a Bond Bridge Pro.
