Chicken & Egg
It’s crazy to think that 2020 is almost over, but we’ve still got some of it left to look at the latest news in AV. Joining us is Founder and “Boss Lady” of Integration Controls Jamie Breisemeister, Livewire Owner Henry Clifford and Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Z-Wave Alliance Mitchell Klein as we delve into what’s going on for the residential side of the industry.
CEDIA has opened their 2021 Awards program and is now accepting entries. These awards focus on projects with such categories as Integrated Home, Showroom, Innovative Solution or System and more. Awards are usually nice and shiny, but is there anything else to be gained? We discuss what it means to receive an award like this and what it could mean for you business. Also while we’re on the subject, AVNation’s own awards have opened up their nominations!
Sonos announced that Dual Sonos Subs can now be paired to a singular device in a home theater space. There are some people that can never get enough bass in their life, but for everyone else is this a big deal? Since we have a handful of Sonos dealers on the panel, it’s worth discussing what this means for Sonos moving forward.
Finally, we look at a million dollar home theater project in Texas modeled after a recording studio. We’ve previously covered what it takes to land big jobs like this, so instead we focus on the design and what went into this home theater. Is there merit to looking at sound studios and other spaces to glean information for a home theater?
