FiberExpress ECX Splitter Kits and 2285P/2285R Low-Voltage Wiring give network designers and AV specialists more installation options

St. Louis, Missouri – March 2, 2018 – Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, is excited to announce three new cable and connectivity solutions being introduced in Q1 2018.
For easier, more cost-effective installation, management and repair of splitter modules and harnesses, FiberExpress (FX) Enterprise Closet X (ECX) Splitter Kits eliminate spider-leg cabling, feature a plug-and-play interconnection point, are front accessible for upstream and downstream connector types, and eliminate protective caps through an internal shutter design. When increased network performance is needed, a simple cassette swap is all that’s required. The solution is also compatible with Belden’s FX ECX system, which is optimized for LAN environments.
As Internet of Things and digital buildings transform enterprises, dimmable LED fixtures and controls are being installed for improved energy efficiency and remote monitoring and management. Low-Voltage Wiring 2285P (for plenum applications) and 2285R (for riser applications) are designed with the ratings and color-code requirements (violet and gray) necessary for 0-10V LED applications and ballast connections. For plenum applications, cables are made with Flamarrest® insulation and jackets, with low smoke and low flame-spread properties.
Only Belden’s innovative enterprise connectivity solutions take a universal approach to customers’ enterprises, resolving signal transmission needs with IP- and legacy-based solutions that enable a smooth migration to convergence. Belden’s extensive portfolio spans LAN, data centers, building automation and security and access control to keep information running smoothly. Outstanding global service and support capabilities and application-specific warranty programs complete Belden’s unique offering.
In the AV industry, the demand for higher performance communications has become more prevalent than ever before. As a result, the need has increased for professional quality cabling systems and components that can span a vast spectrum of applications. Belden’s cabling and connectivity expertise and performance in the broadcast industry has positioned it as the brand that customers and consultants have come to trust. As the industry adjusts to IP convergence throughout the broadcast and professional AV markets, Belden is well positioned with a broad product portfolio of audio, video, and communication solutions utilizing coax, fiber, hybrid fiber, multi-conductor and category cable and connectivity products including connectors, assemblies, panels and racks.
