AVIXA presents AV at banking conference

AVIXA brings power of AV to banking industry

FAIRFAX, VA – April 22, 2019 – AVIXA™, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, will host the first of two planned 2019 discussions on the topic of “Retail Banking in the Audiovisual Age” at Retail Banking Conference 2019, taking place April 24 at London’s Waldorf Hilton Hotel. A second presentation is scheduled for Retail Banking Europe 2019, Nov. 14, in Prague.

AVIXA Senior Director of Communications Brad Grimes will be joined on stage at London’s Retail Banking Conference 2019 by Andy Turnbull, Creative Director of Honest, the design firm behind Halifax Bank’s new tech-savvy, 13,500 square-foot London flagship branch. The Halifax branch includes a café, touchscreen kiosks, extensive digital signage, and a custom-built LED halo display, among other features.

Brad Grimes on AV technology in banking

“The banking industry is changing rapidly to meet the expectations of modern customers,” Grimes said. “Like retail stores, banks are beginning to reimagine their physical spaces to be more experiential, less transactional. Audiovisual technologies contribute to elevating that customer experience, appealing to an increasingly tech-savvy clientele, and ultimately driving business results – online and offline.”

Retailing Banking Conference 2019 is the 34th annual event of its kind, gathering more than300 industry executives to examine how the retail banking sector is embracing digital innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering new, improved services for customers.

“Retail banking has changed, and branches are evolving to keep pace with the times,” Grimes said. “We aim to raise awareness among some of Europe’s largest financial institutions that audiovisual-infused, tech-enabled branches can deliver fresh brand value.”
