Atlona adds new hires to sales team

The new sales managers and rep will help the company’s growth in the commercial and residential markets

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Atlona, a Panduit company, has announced the appointment of four new members to its sales team. Three new regional sales managers and a new inside sales representative have joined the company to support its ongoing growth and reinforce its commitment to delivering exceptional service to its partners and customers.

Robb O’Brien has been named as Regional Sales Manager, Commercial, for the Southwestern United States, while Patrick Smith takes on a similar position for the North Central United States Region.

O’Brien brings with him 15 years of experience in professional AV sales, most recently as a Regional Sales Manager for Kramer Electronics.

Smith is also an AV industry veteran, with 30 years of background in sales engineering and management including roles at Visitec and Crestron as Regional Sales Manager.

The new commercial RSMs will represent Atlona’s portfolio of innovative solutions including the Velocity AV control and OmniStream networked AV platforms. The duo joins six other nationally-placed sales team members in assisting Atlona’s dealers and integrators to drive opportunities for growth in environments ranging from classrooms, conference rooms and huddle spaces to large-scale AV distribution.

On the residential AV side of the business, Steve Neylon has joined the company as Regional Sales Manager for the Eastern United States. Neylon started in the AV industry as a project manager for a residential-focused systems integrator, giving him valuable insight into the needs of channel partners, before moving into sales roles at SnapAV and his most recent position at RGB Spectrum. Neylon will focus on Atlona’s family of HDR switching and distribution products including the Opus™ Series of HDMI 2.0 to HDBaseT matrix switchers and the OmniStream™ R-Type AV over IP platform to address the growing demand for 4K HDR in-home media distribution.

Atlona has also further strengthened its growing Inside Sales team with the addition of Joseph Sebek as the company’s newest Inside Sales Representative. Sebek has previously held similar positions in the AV industry, most notably focusing on the digital signage market for display manufacturer Planar Systems. Sebek highlighted Atlona’s commitment to maintaining customer service excellence as its market presence grows as key a success factor for the company.

“One of the more visible ways in which Panduit has continued its investment in Atlona has been to grow the team that supports our channel partners and customers,” said Jamey Swigert, Director of AV Sales and Business Development, Atlona. “As both the commercial and residential AV markets continue to undergo a period of significant technological disruption, these partners depend on our sales team more than ever before to help meet their evolving needs. We’re excited to welcome Robb, Patrick, Steve, and Joseph as the newest members of our sales team.”
