Atlona Adds Rene Yzaguirre to North American Sales Team

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Atlona continues to add talent to its global salesforce with the appointment of industry veteran Rene Yzaguirre as Regional Sales Manager, South Central US region. With consideration to his impressive commercial AV experience, Atlona has extended Yzaguirre’s South Central territory beyond the TOLA region (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas) to Mississippi and the metropolitan Memphis area. He reports to Jamey Swigert, Director of AV Sales and Business Development.

Yzaguirre joins Atlona with more than 25 years of industry expertise, and has been especially active within the education vertical. As a sales engineer at Harman, he strengthened the company’s K12 market share through classroom AV innovation. He later became Curriculum Developer, where he created video training content and programs for partners, end users and internal sales teams. That role extended Yzaguirre’s experience across a broader AV spectrum, including the corporate and government verticals.

Yzaguirre’s experience across Atlona’s key corporate, education and government verticals, and extensive relationships with integrators, dealers and distributors, positions him for strong success in a rapidly-growing AV region. His vast technical expertise, especially with AV collaboration and control technologies, adds value for Atlona partners and end users seeking to modernize AV systems for post-pandemic operations.

“The pandemic has forced us to reimagine our meeting spaces and classrooms to suit hybrid work and learning models, and establish safe, contactless environments for new safety protocols,” said Yzaguirre. “Atlona’s PTZ cameras have proven highly popular with our corporate and education customers that want to bring remote attendees into the room, while innovations within the Velocity control architecture limit physical contact with touch interfaces and help our customers manage room occupancy. Atlona approaches these and other emerging customer requirements in unique ways that will help me clearly communicate our value proposition against competitors.”

Yzaguirre points to Atlona’s experience with the Layer One infrastructure through company owner Panduit’s product line. “None of our competitors can offer the IT experience and solutions that Altona can offer through Panduit,” said Yzaguirre. “I can talk to my customers about complete solutions that begin at the core network infrastructure and extend into AV over IP networking, wireless presentation, and networked AV control.”

“With his technical expertise and strong customer relationship management skills, Rene brings a diverse pedigree to Atlona that will drive deeper sales penetration throughout a unique business region,” said Swigert. “It’s a privilege to welcome Rene to the Atlona sales team, and we look forward to his contributions as we enter a challenging and exciting era of global AV business.”
