Blonder Tongue Laboratories, Inc. to make its debut at CEDIA EXPO 2021 on September 1 – 3. The US-based telecommunication manufacturers will showcase their updated Aircaster and Clearview line of products as first-time exhibitors.

“We’re excited to have Blonder Tongue Laboratories as a first-time exhibitor at CEDIA Expo,” said Jason McGraw, Group Vice President, CEDIA Expo & KBIS. “The market for OTT, IPTV, and next-generation video is expanding rapidly, creating a greater need for new, customizable solutions that can address the emerging challenges that our industry attendees face. Blonder Tongue’s unique products from the telecommunications, cable, and fiber-optic service provider industry will make a great addition to the CEDIA Expo this year.”

Blonder Tongue Laboratories will showcase numerous products at their booth this year. Here are a few products to look out for while attending CEDIA Expo 2021.

The new Clearview Flex QAM

The new Clearview Flex QAM can multiplex a variety of IP video sources, creating up to 4 complete QAM transport stream outputs per 1 RU. This allows digital televisions to scan, recognize, and display custom channel lineups created by installers specific to a property. Sources can include IP Cameras, local video sources, or off-air sources created from Blonder Tongue’s Aircaster AQT8.

The recently updated Aircaster™ AQT8

The updated device can create a full lineup of up to 64 channels and distribute them throughout numerous large complexes. The Aircaster AQT8 eliminates any need for countless digital converters, external splitters, and legacy one-to-one solutions. Instead, it encourages remote monitoring, signal testing, and virtual mapping to reduce truck rolls. It’s perfect for professional installers looking to integrate off-air content without paying additional fees for cable.

BT Lab’s Clearview Transcoder Series

The Clearview Transcoder Series delivers flawless live on-demand video utilizing ultra-low latency hardware-based video compression, transcoding, and transrating technology. This solution offers a simple interface giving you the ability to download and upload configuration files for multi-unit deployments. Recently, Blonde Tongue announced the Clearview HDMI2-QAM which can encode and modulate up to 2 HDMI 2.0 or SD streams to one QAM channel in numerous formats ideal for hospitality conversion projects.

NXG EDGE

This is the new, 2 RU version of Blonder Tongue’s acclaimed NXG IP Digital Video Processing Platform. It’s designed to meet the needs of Edge video delivery. The NXG EDGE descrambles up to 64 channels per blade, including Widevine and other DRM formats of MPEG-DASH or up to 24 channels per blade of Cable Card Card CAS content. This solution has a range of unique features, including the creations of multi-channel lineup support and emergency alert signaling.

The FIBT 1310 and 1550

The fiber optic transmitters are an ideal solution to seamlessly transport RFOG signals distances over single-mode optical fiber. When paired with the FTTB Series of receivers, BTF solutions are able to deliver broadband CATV and data within large buildings, resorts, and campus environments with up to 1000 MHz bandwidth.

President and CEO of Blonder Tongue Laboratories Ted Grauch said he’s excited to bring their extensive catalog to CEDIA Expo. “As standards are evolving and … shifting to IP and a mix of IP and RF technologies, we think CEDIA members will find that Blonder Tongue Lab’s highly customizable solutions can be used to increase the reliability, longevity, and lower complexity of their system designs and installations,” says Grauch.

Be sure to check out their booth at CEDIA Expo 2021 September 1 – 3.
