As part of our continued coverage of CEDIA Expo 2021, Tim Albright talks with Modus VR. The company provides VR tools for AV integrators, allowing them to design and create spaces for their clients. Modus VR now offers both residential and commercial solutions for their clients.

“When we very first launched, we were home theater focus… commercial was just a logical extension of that. Where we really excelled on the commercial side is our conference rooms because in addition to space planning, we also visualize technical concepts,” said Modus VR Co-founder Ken Brueck.

Modus VR provides real-item customization, allowing integrators to edit spaces on the fly, almost like a digital white board. The software allows the client and designer to meet up in a space virtually, watching the project come to life. What sets Modus VR apart from other 3-D rendering tools, according to Brueck, is the introduction of the software in the project.

“When you bring Modus into the conversation towards the front of the sales and design process, you can quickly sketch out these ideas, discover problems and challenges, and work through solutions while the client is with you. You can come up with much better solutions in a much shorter amount of time and the client is never guessing what they are gonna get,” Brueck said.
