frame:work Conference Set to Unite Real-Time Content Creators in London

frame:work is a brand-new community event series conceptualized by four key live entertainment production experts; Laura Frank, Luke Malcolm, Soren West, and Elliott Dunwody, who have a collective career experience spanning decades across multiple sectors.

The first event will take place at central London’s super chic multipurpose tech venue, CodeNode on November 3rd and 4th.

For frame:work:London, the team has partnered with Bild Studios, a creative house of media technologists who are pioneering the next generation of visual experiences, in order to present the two-day conference to the industry.

The event will host conversations around the unique challenges of creating videos for physical spaces, live performances, and virtual worlds.

Laura Frank, frame:work co-founder who began her own career as a touring Lighting Programmer for Madonna and David Bowie before moving into the XR space, states: “If you work in real-time content creation, screen content for live entertainment, or interactive content, frame:work is your new home. Together, we aim to build a transparent and peer-supported future for the creative video community of ‘live pixel people.”

She continues: “From theatre to film, television broadcast, concert touring, conferences, installations, and online events, the more we learn from each other about the process, the more we’ll improve our relationships across different production communities. Our end goal is to create an authentic community and share valuable insights into the practice of these specialized fields of work.”

The conference, which is set to branch out across the globe, has chosen London for its first in-person edition due to the amount of visual talent and expertise currently being honed across the UK.

“In true community spirit, Sarah Cox of Neutral Human has been instrumental in creating frame:work:London, helping to secure key sponsors and global talent for the speaker list,” adds Laura.

The event will share insights from leaders in the field of video content creation, video and media server engineering, screen producing, real-time generative and interactive content, media server programming, virtual production, and mixed reality.

She continues: “At frame:work, we believe the best way to improve our standard of work is through communicating and engaging with each other, no matter the discipline.

“Our hand-picked presenters will range from expert practitioners in creative video production, to partner design disciplines in set, lighting, and audio and production leadership. There will be a generation-spanning audience of new industry professionals, veterans, and of course, students, who are a vital part of our educational discussions, which is reflected in our ticket prices and concessions.”

Speakers include David Bajt, co-founder of Bild Studios and virtual production studio MARS Volume, Julia Lou, a Virtual Production Supervisor at Lux Machina Consulting, EVOKE Studios’ Head of Creative Workflows, Chema Menendez, and Pembe Tokluhan, a multidisciplinary backstage creative, with a background in youth work, public speaking, and diversity, amongst many more.
