Absen Introduces LR V3 Series, Bringing Greater Creative Flexibility to Touring and Festival Stages

Absen has introduced the LR V3 Series, a transparent LED display designed for touring, festivals, and large-scale live events. The new series gives AV production teams more creative freedom with adaptive louvers, curved configurations, mixed cabinet sizes, and 90-degree L-shaped displays. Its lightweight cabinets and pre-lock system are designed to make handling and installation easier for crews.

Built with touring in mind, LR V3 also supports outdoor use and efficient maintenance, with water-resistant components, retractable positioning pins, and quick access to modules and power boxes. With high transparency, brightness, refresh rate, grayscale, and wide viewing angles, the series is aimed at helping rental companies, designers, and production teams create flexible LED setups while keeping deployment and transport efficient.

At the center of LR V3’s creative capabilities are adaptive louvers that allow the display to transition from transparent to solid stage visuals with a single touch. Combined with curved configurations, mixed-panel connections and 90-degree L-shaped applications, LR V3 gives production designers greater freedom to integrate LED into the overall stage environment and create structures beyond conventional flat displays.

Built for the Realities of Touring

Touring equipment needs to perform night after night while keeping crew requirements, transportation and changing production configurations in mind. LR V3 is available in three lightweight cabinet sizes: 39.37 × 19.69 × 3.15 inches (1000 × 500 × 80 mm), 19.69 × 39.37 × 3.15 inches (500 × 1000 × 80 mm), and 39.37 × 39.37 × 3.78 inches (1000 × 1000 × 96 mm).

Depending on cabinet size, LR V3 panels weigh just 15.4 lbs. (7 kg), 16.5 lbs. (7.5 kg), or 31.1 lbs. (14.1 kg). The lightweight design, combined with a pre-lock system, supports one-person handling and installation to help crews move more efficiently during setup.

LR V3 is also designed for outdoor production environments, with water-resistant modules, power boxes and cables providing additional protection for demanding live event applications.

 More Flexibility for Creative Stage Design

LR V3 gives production teams multiple ways to build beyond a traditional flat LED wall. Dual horizontal curve locks support angle adjustments from -7.5 degrees to +10 degrees, giving designers the ability to create curved display configurations while maintaining secure cabinet connections.

A 45-degree dual-edge design on both sides of the cabinet also enables 90-degree L-shaped displays, opening additional possibilities for dimensional stage structures and scenic integration.

The three cabinet formats can also be combined within a display. The 39.37 × 39.37-inch (1000 × 1000 mm) cabinet can connect side by side with the 19.69 × 39.37-inch (500 × 1000 mm) cabinet or vertically with the 39.37 × 19.69-inch (1000 × 500 mm) cabinet, giving production teams greater flexibility to adapt LED configurations to different stage designs.

Designed to Keep Productions Moving

For touring and festival productions, efficiency extends beyond the build itself. LR V3 incorporates retractable positioning pins for efficient on-site maintenance, along with quick maintenance access for modules and power boxes.

Transportation options are also designed around the realities of touring. A 6-in-1 dolly system is available for the 39.37 × 39.37-inch (1000 × 1000 mm) side-lock cabinet configuration with the Wind-Bracing System.

Together, LR V3’s lightweight construction, installation features, maintenance access and transportation systems are designed to reduce handling demands and help rental and staging teams keep equipment moving efficiently from one production to the next.

Once the show begins, LR V3 combines high transparency with brightness, high refresh rate, rich grayscale and wide viewing angles to support demanding outdoor live stages.

Its adaptive louver design gives production teams additional control over how LED becomes part of the stage environment. By transitioning between transparent and solid visual effects, designers can integrate lighting, performers and scenic elements with the display rather than treating LED as a standalone backdrop.
