Sony SRG-AS10 Brings AI Auto Framing to IBC 2026

At IBC 2026, AVNation’s Tim Albright spoke with Claire Lam from Sony about the company’s new SRG-AS10 camera, designed for organizations looking to produce high-quality content without relying on a large production crew. The camera combines automated framing capabilities with 4K 60p image output.

According to Lam, the SRG-AS10 is aimed particularly at corporate environments where automated production can help simplify content creation. Its artificial intelligence (AI) auto framing and auto tracking features can automatically follow presenters, giving organizations more flexibility when producing video.

The camera also focuses on image quality. Sony’s SRG-AS10 offers 4K 60p output along with low-light performance, according to the interview. Lam positioned these capabilities alongside the camera’s automation features as a way to support production environments where fewer people may be available to operate cameras.

Power and installation are another part of the design. The SRG-AS10 can be powered through Power over Ethernet (PoE), providing a single-cable solution, or through a local USB AC adapter. The interview also highlighted the camera’s web interface, which allows users to configure framing compositions and presets.

Users can set up to three framing compositions. The interface demonstrated options ranging from close-up tracking to full-body tracking and a tighter close-up. Users can also adjust the composition to provide additional headroom or more space to the left or right before replacing an existing preset.
