AtlasIED Earns Two Awards at Inaugural TMAC Manufacturing Excellence Awards

AtlasIED has received two honors at the inaugural TMAC Manufacturing Excellence Awards, recognizing the company’s commitment to innovation and manufacturing excellence in Texas. The company won the “Excellence in Technology Adoption” award for successfully integrating robotics and artificial intelligence into its manufacturing operations, helping improve efficiency and strengthen its position in the global market.

In addition, Kurt Sounders, Process Engineering Manager at AtlasIED, was honored with the “Rising Engineer” award for his contributions to developing automated production lines and deploying collaborative robots to support domestic manufacturing in North Texas. The awards, presented by the Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center (TMAC), highlight both organizational achievements and individual leadership in advancing the manufacturing industry.

AtlasIED, a recognized leader in the commercial AV and security industries, has been awarded two inaugural TMAC Manufacturing Excellence Awards, which recognize organizations and individuals driving innovation, workforce development and economic growth across Texas.

This advancement has significantly improved efficiency and enhanced the company’s global competitiveness. Additionally, Kurt Sounders, Process Engineering Manager, AtlasIED, has received the “Rising Engineer” award for his impressive work in developing automated production lines and rapidly deploying collaborative robots to bolster domestic manufacturing operations in North Texas.

The University of Texas at Arlington-based Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center (TMAC) offers the award as an expansion of TMAC’s previous customer appreciation program into a statewide recognition of excellence across the manufacturing ecosystem, with winners selected by a panel of judges from industry and partner organizations.
