LG Electronics USA has introduced the LG MAGNIT Gen 2 Micro LED LMPD display, a new solution aimed at high-end commercial and large-scale visual environments. The display combines LG’s Micro LED technology with NovaStar’s COEX 5G processing platform, giving AV integrators greater flexibility in system configuration, monitoring and management. It is designed for applications such as corporate spaces, auditoriums, control rooms and other demanding installations where image quality and reliability are key.

The LMPD display features precision module alignment, wide 160-degree viewing angles, five-layer grayscale calibration, HDR10 and HLG support, and advanced Micro LED construction for deep blacks and consistent color. Its fiber-based SFP+ architecture can extend signal transmission up to 6.2 miles, helping simplify cabling in large installations. The display will make its first U.S. public appearance at Starpower’s Dallas-Fort Worth showroom on September 15.

LG Electronics USA, a leader in commercial digital display solutions, has introduced the LG MAGNIT Gen 2 Micro LED LMPD display designed for high-end, large-scale visual experiences and commercial installations. The new display will make its first U.S. public appearance on Sept. 15 at a VIP customer event hosted at Starpower’s award-winning Dallas-Fort Worth showroom, allowing customers to experience its vivid color, deep contrast and scalable Micro LED performance in a premium showroom setting.

The LMPD display combines LG Micro LED technology with NovaStar’s COEX 5G Solution to support high-resolution, large-scale installations with advanced image processing and system management. The new model gives integrators a flexible Micro LED platform for commercial usage, such as corporate spaces and other large-format environments where image quality and system reliability are essential.

“The LG MAGNIT Gen 2 Micro LED display was built for projects where image precision, control and deployment flexibility have to work together,” said Michael Kosla, B2B senior vice president at LG Electronics USA. “By combining LG Micro LED display technology with NovaStar’s processing platform, the LMPD display gives integrators a more confident way to configure, monitor and manage Micro LED systems for sophisticated projects and commercial applications with complex operational demands.”

At the Starpower event, attendees will get a first look at the LMPD and learn about LG’s LMPx Series MAGNIT LED lineup, including LMPA and LMPB displays that support premium viewing experiences in high-end residential and commercial spaces. To learn more about the event, click here.

As a premier partner of LG Electronics USA, Starpower brings the latest innovations in display, television and home entertainment technology to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Through exclusive product unveilings and first-look experiences, Starpower gives customers early access to the technologies shaping the future of home entertainment, according to David Pidgeon, CEO of Starpower Entertainment Systems, North Texas’s leading seller and integrator of advanced display solutions for commercial and luxury residential spaces.

“Premium spaces demand technology that enhances the environment without compromising the design vision,” Pidgeon said. “By showcasing LG’s new MAGNIT Gen 2 Micro LED display, we’re giving customers a first-hand look at how premium display technology can deliver a powerful visual experience while fitting into sophisticated and high-impact settings.”

Simplified System Design With NovaStar Control
At the center of the LMPD display is NovaStar’s COEX 5G Solution, which supports screen configuration, system operation and ongoing management through a design-centric interface. NovaStar’s Vision Management Platform (VMP) software brings real-time monitoring and diagnostics, advanced color processing and flexible system management into a single platform, helping integrators configure and operate Micro LED installations more efficiently.

The LMPD display’s high-bandwidth architecture is designed to reduce cabling requirements while supporting more efficient system configuration. With SFP+, signal transmission between the display and the controller can extend up to 6.2 miles using a fiber-optic link, compared with the approximately 328-foot distance previously supported. This added range gives integrators more flexibility when designing systems for large-scale environments, including auditoriums, control rooms and other complex installations.

Engineered For Visual Precision And Flexible Deployment
The LMPD display combines image quality, calibration and installation features designed to support consistent performance across demanding Micro LED environments.

Key Technical Features include:

  • Precision module alignment: LG’s “FLAT” (Front Line Aligned Tiling) technology precisely aligns LED module seams during production to minimize surface gaps and black-level variation.
  • Wide viewing angles: 160-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles support consistent color across large viewing areas.
  • Multi-layer grayscale calibration: Five-layer calibration is designed to improve consistency at low grayscale levels while reducing color shift and visual noise.
  • Advanced Micro LED construction: Chip transfer technology, full black coating and surface treatment support deep black levels, color reproduction and contrast.
  • HDR support: HDR10 and HLG compatibility support enhanced brightness, contrast and color expression for more vivid color across content.
  • Uniform color expression: Meticulous LED chip selection, narrow chip wavelength and gamut transfer technology help deliver pure, consistent color across the screen for environments that require lifelike visuals.

With the LMPD display, LG is expanding its MAGNIT portfolio with a Micro LED display designed for projects where visual impact, system planning and installation flexibility are all critical. Customers will be able to experience the display at Starpower’s Sept. 15 showroom event.
