Philips LED continues to drive new experiences at Red Bull Technology Campus and Oracle Red Bull Racing’s MK-7 with new custom designed outdoor installations

PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips Professional Displays and complementary solutions, is excited to announce its latest partner driven collaboration with Oracle Red Bull Racing, with the installation of two fully tailored all weather dvLED displays at the Formula One™ giant’s global headquarters in Milton Keynes.

Continuing a series of transformational projects driven by Oracle Red Bull Racing with Philips Professional Displays – exclusive digital display supplier and Team Partner – this new collaboration takes the power and sustainability benefits of the Philips LED range at the Red Bull Technology Campus outside for the first time.

Occupying more than 700,000 square feet, the campus is a place where ideas and innovations come to life – home to Oracle Red Bull Racing, Red Bull Ford Powertrains, the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls team, and the MK-7 event venue, which recently also saw the installation of a record breaking 46.25m wide Philips LED wall, as well as a range of Philips signage and interactive displays.

This makes the Campus a daily hotbed of activity, welcoming visitors from around the world – from celebrities to fans, engineers and employees – with the majority passing through its main entrance by vehicle.

    Driving forward

Following installations of digital signage, interactive touch screens, and dvLED displays within the MK-7 event space and the Oracle Red Bull Racing offices, the team turned its attention to welcoming and

directing visitors upon entering the campus, replacing existing signage with a new digitised and connected display solution. Security and high brightness were a must.

Following multiple site visits and consultations, the P2.4 Philips Public LED 7000 Series displays were selected to be positioned after vehicles passed through the security barrier at the Campus, as well as at the main entrance to MK-7.

With Milton Keynes averaging over 730mm of rain annually, protecting the displays was essential – with PPDS teaming up with Netherlands based specialist, VEBO Digital Signage Solutions, to build custom designed protective casings. The cabinets, standing nearly 3m tall, are embossed with Oracle Red Bull Racing branding and are built to withstand whatever weather Mother Nature provides.

An IP30 rating and conformal coating ensure additional protection against any moisture or pollutants.

    Perfectly handling

Crucial to the project’s success, and among the many reasons for the Philips Public LED 7000 Series being the outstanding choice to meet the team’s ambitions, was the ability to deliver stunning high brightness, quality resolution, and advanced colours and contrast to accurately showcase the Oracle Red Bull Racing brand and its campaigns, perfectly visible in any lighting condition.

Providing a personal touch, content can be created, scheduled and changed effortlessly to suit the occasion – such as welcoming special guests, partners and for corporate events – via Novastar controllers and DS Templates CMS.

The project also meets Oracle Red Bull Racing’s uncompromising strategy around sustainability, with the Philips Public LED 7000 Series designed to deliver dynamic power savings, helping to reduce environmental impact and total cost of ownership.

In keeping with the fast pace of F1, the Philips Public LED 7000 Series also offers active health monitoring and has been designed to make maintenance fast, predictable, and simple – just like a pitstop.

Laurent Mekies, CEO and Team Principal at Oracle Red Bull Racing, commented: “In the high-stakes world of Formula One™, following along isn’t an option. From precision displays trackside and bold branding in our hospitality areas, to the stunning LED arc and expansive screen network at the Red Bull Technology Campus, our Philips Professional Displays are uniquely configured to continue the magic of the race and showcase the best for Oracle Red Bull Racing.”

Jae O Choi Park, EMEA Commercial Head at PPDS, added: “Drawing upon our network of PPDS Partners allows us to augment our Philips Professional Displays with unique solutions for Oracle Red Bull Racing. Indoors, outdoors, and all around, we make it our mission to ensure the best experiences for the team, as well as its visitors and guests.”

Emily Falconer, Head of Events at Oracle Red Bull Racing, added: “The welcome we give to our visitors and guests at Oracle Red Bull Racing starts from the moment they arrive on Campus. Our Philips LED displays are positioned to ensure an easy and well branded journey, from the gatehouse to our facilities.”

Turbocharged: PPDS extends Team Partner and exclusive Digital Display Supplier partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing for 2025 and beyond

PPDS has extended its partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing, continuing as the team’s official Digital Display Supplier and Team Partner. This collaboration, which began in 2022, focuses on delivering innovative AV solutions to transform the race day experience for VIPs in the Oracle Red Bull Racing Paddock Club and enhancing operations at the Red Bull Technology Campus in Milton Keynes. Recent achievements include custom-designed videowalls, interactive displays for global marketing teams, and Europe’s largest indoor dvLED wall at the MK-7 venue.

Looking ahead, the partnership will expand into more critical areas, including the new Red Bull Ford Powertrains facility, leveraging teamwork and cutting-edge AV technology. This collaboration not only drives operational excellence but also provides exclusive benefits for PPDS’ partners, such as race day hospitality at Formula One™ events worldwide. With a shared commitment to innovation and staying ahead, PPDS and Oracle Red Bull Racing continue to break barriers in both AV and motorsports.

PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips Professional Displays, is proud to announce a new multi-year contract extension with Oracle Red Bull Racing, becoming a Team Partner while continuing as the sole supplier of digital displays to the eight-time Formula One™ World Championship winning team for 2025 and beyond.

A partnership driven by innovation and teamwork, PPDS joined forces with Oracle Red Bull Racing in 2022 as an ‘Official Team Supplier’, with the mission of transforming the race day experience for VIP guests inside the team’s famous Oracle Red Bull Racing Paddock Club.

Fuelled by a joint desire to always lead from the front and never to accept second best, this was achieved using displays from the full portfolio of Philips Professional Displays – offering live 4K UHD race coverage, access to exclusive behind-the-scenes content, links to the pit lane, and audio feeds from the drivers and crew – with the centrepiece being a custom designed, portable and easily transportable 10m2 Ultra HD Philips dvLED videowall.

Following rip-roaring success in the Paddock Club, in 2023 PPDS became Oracle Red Bull Racing’s exclusive ‘Digital Display Supplier’. Forming a deeper and more integrated partnership and extending beyond race day hospitality, this included a range of solutions for use inside the team’s spectacular Red Bull Technology Campus in Milton Keynes.

Recent examples include revolutionising the global marketing team’s offices, with 13 game changing Philips interactive displays, the installation of a 110” dvLED wall in the MK-7 Boardroom, and the record breaking 46.25 metre wide Philips dvLED wall inside the updated MK-7 events venue, officially unveiled in September.

    Full throttle

Accelerating forward, the new and extended agreement between PPDS and Oracle Red Ball Racing takes the partnership up a gear, developing the range of tailored solutions to be installed and used across even more of the mission critical departments within the Red Bull Technology Campus over the coming years.

Optimising results through teamwork, creativity and a firm understanding of the road ahead, this will also for the first time include solutions developed by PPDS inside the newly built state-of-the-art, 5,000ft2 Red Bull Ford Powertrains facility, used to design and develop the next generation of engines in house.

    Winning team

Christian Horner, Oracle Red Bull Racing Team Principal and CEO, commented: “In the fast-paced world of Formula One™, if you stop innovating or striving to be better, you’re settling for second best. This is something we believe in everything we do, both on and off the racetrack. It’s therefore imperative we choose the right partners to join us on our journey, whether building new engines or providing best-in-class digital displays. With PPDS, we have a partner who shares our philosophy and ambitions, and we are delighted to be extending into a new era with them.”

Martijn van der Woude, VP Global Marketing and Business Development at PPDS, added: “In AV the best success stories are driven by true partnerships. Industry leaders and pioneers coming together to deliver winning solutions. That essence is fully captured working with Oracle Red Bull Racing, a team like us, that prefers to lead rather than follow and is not afraid to take risks to achieve its goals and ambitions. We are incredibly proud of what we have been able to achieve together and look forward to continuing this success.”

Tim de Ruiter, Business Development Director at PPDS managing the partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing, commented: “Working with Oracle Red Bull Racing continues to be a huge inspiration to myself, the full PPDS team, and our partners, working and coming together in an environment and culture that is fuelled by the desire to be the very best.

“Together, we have already achieved so much, transforming the way the Oracle Red Bull Racing marketing teams collaborate, creating unrivalled guest hospitality, and building one of Europe’s largest indoor dvLED walls in the MK-7 events venue in Milton Keynes.

“And this is just the beginning. Like ourselves, Oracle Red Bull Racing always has an eye to the future, and I am proud to say we are supporting their plans and ambitions, with some exciting new solutions being developed over the coming years.”

    VIP benefits for PPDS partners

In addition to helping create a winning formula within Oracle Red Bull Racing, the partnership continues to bring incredible benefits and opportunities to PPDS’ valued partners and customers, with a range of exclusive, money-can’t-buy events and experiences.

Since 2022, PPDS has invited more than 100 partners to enjoy exclusive Oracle Red Bull Racing race day hospitality and events, including all expenses paid Grand Prix’ at Monaco, Monza, Silverstone and Zandvoort, as well as in Austin, Las Vegas, Miami, Abu Dhabi, Shanghai, and Singapore.

Ron Cottaar, Director of Global Marketing and Head of Marketing USA at PPDS concluded: “PPDS is fast becoming a brand synonymous with the world’s most elite sports and sports teams, closely associated with FC Barcelona, Harlequins, and, of course, Oracle Red Bull Racing. And these are all more than just standard partnerships. They are strategic alliances, two teams working together to achieve more. We are incredibly proud to be associated with the Oracle Red Bull team.”

PPDS fuels winning formula for Oracle Red Bull Racing’s global marketing team with 13 Philips Professional Displays inside upgraded MK-7 offices

PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips Professional Displays, is delighted to announce the installation of 13 “game-changing” Philips interactive displays at Oracle Red Bull Racing’s renovated MK-7 marketing team offices in Milton Keynes, UK, sending team collaboration and creative capability into overdrive.

Signalling the latest evolution of an ever-deepening partnership with the reigning Formula One™ World Championship Team – for which PPDS has been an official Team Supplier since 2022 – this exciting new project continues Oracle Red Bull Racing’s relentless focus on leading from the front both on and off the track and adhering to its internal motto: ‘to win and to do it differently’.

Housed in ORBR’s spectacular MK-7 offices in Milton Keynes – 50 miles (80kms) north of London – the Oracle Red Bull Racing brand continues to reach new heights, with a fan base that pervades all corners of the Earth.

With communications increasingly a key focus, its creative marketing team has expanded exponentially in recent years, representing the Oracle Red Bull Racing brand across all marketing channels, including its highly successful ‘Paddock’ fan reward site, partner program and, of course, its growing social media presence (4.5m followers on ‘X’ and 11.6m on Instagram to name just two).

In the fast-paced world of F1 racing, standing still is not an option, and teamwork is essential. With a proud track record of supporting ORBR with a range of custom-built solutions – from its headquarters through to the stylish Oracle Red Bull Racing hospitality suite in the Paddock Club – PPDS was the standout partner of choice to revolutionise the way its marketing teams communicate and collaborate, helping to drive new ideas and inspire greater project outcomes.

Following detailed discussions covering the ORBR marketing teams’ needs and ambitions for today and into the future, a fleet of 10 Philips Collaboration C-Line displays (65”-86”) – based on the Windows (8000 Series) and Android (6000 Series) OS – were integrated into the marketing team’s management offices, meeting rooms, and shared spaces, such as the ‘Break Out Zone’ and ‘Energy Lounge’.

Designed to enhance and inspire, the Philips Collaboration C-Line displays have proved themselves an instant game changer for the Oracle Red Bull Racing marketing team, transforming each space into a hive of activity, bringing new energy and enhanced productivity, and new collaborative working capabilities, throughout.

    Every opinion counts

Bringing teams together like never before, the Philips Collaboration C-Line displays provide the marketing team with advanced and seamless wireless sharing capabilities, with up to 64 devices (people) able to simultaneously connect to the screen, for quick content switching between participants in the room as well as remotely.

Combining multi-touch technology with the Philips Collaboration displays’ whiteboard mode, users can write and draw directly on the screen – with near-zero latency, for more natural user experiences – either by hand or with dedicated markers, with all actions streamed back to all connected devices for easy file sharing.

    High impact performance

Complementing the Philips Collaboration displays, two imposing 98” Philips Signage 4000 Series D-Line displays have been installed side by side in the marketing team’s ‘Paddock’ area, which features grandstand seating, with a single 86” model, installed in the Oracle Suite. Each is used to provide a variety of functions, including live coverage of track action and other associated events, delivering important team news, results and other energising content to the team.

One of PPDS’ most flexible and versatile Android SoC displays to date, the Philips Signage 4000 Series ensures all content is delivered with power and precision, fine-tuned to ensure specific colour and contrast guidelines for ORBR are achieved at all times.

For maximum versatility, the team also benefits from the Philips 4000 Series’ QuadViewer feature, transforming single displays into stylishly framed 2 x 2 videowalls with no interior bezels. Marketing teams can connect and play content from up to four independent sources simultaneously on the same screen – a great solution when multiple feeds need to be visible, such as broadcasting qualifying sessions or the race itself. A video showcasing the installations can be viewed here.

    “Game changer”

Discussing the project, Olly Hughes, Chief Marketing Officer at Oracle Red Bull Racing, commented: “We looked at several vendors, but PPDS and Philips Professional Displays were the ones that had the best product to answer what we were looking for.

“Getting the marketing teams together, working on content collaboratively, viewing it in sharp, bold contrast, on quality displays is really important. These Philips Professional Displays are a game changer and the perfect solution for our marketing office environment.”

Tim de Ruiter, Business Development Director at PPDS, added: “In the fast-paced world of F1 racing, there’s simply no substitute for teamwork. Technology, whether for building vehicles or creating inspirational and highly innovative marketing campaigns, plays a crucial role in achieving goals and ambitions. After meeting with the marketing team at MK-7, it was clear that bringing each team within the busy department together and providing them with the tools to collaborate on projects, share ideas and, crucially, celebrate their successes, was a key focus.

“It was a challenge we were happy to accept, and we are proud of the impact these state-of-the-art Philips Professional Displays, designed to meet the highest levels of demand, such as in F1, have already made in short space of time. We look forward to continuing to partner with Oracle Red Bull Racing, supporting them as they edge even further ahead of their competitors.”
