    Trident Military Systems supports the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve by building and maintaining F-16 simulators across multiple sites nationwide.     RGB Spectrum expands product line with new Zio® Media Server

    ALAMEDA, Calif. – RGB Spectrum has expanded its line of multi-channel recording and streaming systems with the new Zio® Media Server. The Zio Media Server is a fully integrated system for simultaneously recording, storing, and distributing streams of high resolution, real-time imagery using the H.264 compression standard.

    The Zio Media Server provides the ability to record streams while simultaneously outputting other streams. The server is used with RGB Spectrum’s Zio codecs for multicast encoding and decoding at origination and destination points to provide a complete solution.

    The server is offered in a variety of hardware configurations depending on the number of simultaneous streams required.

    The goal of control room audio-visual systems is to provide improved situational awareness, better decision-making and faster response. Real time analysis and control is critical to the results expected. Here we discuss technologies that provide integrated visualization of many types of baseband, AV-over-IP and web-based video and data sources with centralized control.

    The ability to monitor, coordinate and respond collaboratively is key to control room design.

    Control room video walls are driven by a video processor, enabling one or more display walls to present visual data, preferably with scaling of individual images from very small to very large sizes. One of the most important requirements of a video wall processor is the ability to support an extensive variety of disparate imagery.  The range of possible sources includes feeds from the local operator stations, such as maps, video teleconferencing, sensor data, etc. Additional sources include inputs from the center’s private network, consisting of surveillance video, monitoring data, access control, and more.
