Extron Announces Philips X-Line Videowall Displays Achieve Quantum Ultra Certification

Extron is the provider of training and certification programs for the AV industry, offering online instructor-led classes, on-demand training, and specialized workshops.

Extron’s Quantum Ultra and Quantum Ultra II 8K Videowall Processors have certified select Philips X-Line series displays as “Quantum Ultra Certified” for the consistent, stable presentation of source content.

Philips X-Line displays are stable and secure, providing performance and reliability for 24/7 use in control rooms and mission-critical areas. Extron Quantum Ultra videowall processors have been certified to provide advanced connectivity and content delivery.

When coupled with Extron Quantum Ultra and Quantum Ultra II 8K Videowall Processors, select models of the Philips X-Line series of displays from PPDS have been certified for the consistent, stable presentation of source content. These videowall displays have passed Extron’s extensive testing program and are now identified as “Quantum Ultra Certified.”

“Videowall applications demand the highest level of dependability and performance, especially for mission-critical installations,” says Casey Hall, Chief Marketing Officer for Extron. “The Quantum Ultra processor’s configurability and capabilities, such as support of 8K video and 500 Gbps bus throughput, combined with the installation of Quantum Ultra Certified devices like the highly popular Philips X-Line display series mean reliable videowall performance from integration to operation, including in mission-driven and 24/7 environments.”

Philips X-Line models currently certified include the 55” BDL3207X, BDL4107X, and BDL8007X, the 65” BDL6005X, and the 49” and 55” BDL2105X, which are also TAA compliant.

“Designed for use 24/7, our Philips X-Line displays are stable and secure, delivering on both performance and reliability and fully equipped to meet the unique and ever-evolving requirements of busy control rooms and mission-critical areas,” says Jack Boyczuk, Business Manager at PPDS. “We are delighted that this new certification with Extron Quantum Ultra videowall processors will bring our customers even greater opportunities for advanced and future-ready connectivity and content delivery.”

The Quantum Ultra certification program minimizes compatibility concerns. System designers can take comfort in knowing that the image processing and display products have been tested together using established parameters, such as image acquisition, image stability, and EDID management. By specifying a Quantum Ultra Certified display, you can streamline videowall integration, reducing the need for on-site troubleshooting.
