HARMAN Professional showcased the brilliance of Martin Professional and JBL Professional technologies at Palmesus 2025, Scandinavia’s largest beach festival. With thousands dancing on the beach alongside unforgettable sets by world-class DJs, including Kygo, Fisher, Stormzy, Chase & Status and more, Martin lighting and JBL Professional audio systems delivered clarity, impact and a captivating experience across multiple stages.
The Palmesus main stage featured 40 MAC Viper XIPs, 34 MAC Aura XIPs, 32 MAC Aura Raven XIPs and a pair of P3-275 System Controllers, complemented by 155 VDO Sceptron 20s, 40 VDO Sceptron 10s and a P3-300 System Controller at front of house. The Cupra stage, where DJs performed interstitial sets in between performances, added 54 VDO Atomic Dot WRMs, 36 VDO Atomic Dot CLDs, six MAC Aura XIPs and a P3-150 System Controller, paired with JBL VTX A12 line arrays and VTX G28 subwoofers for high-output, rider-ready audio.
Nordic Rentals provided the full technical package for the main stage, ensuring reliable performance throughout the weekend. “Our house lighting at Palmesus has always included Martin Professional fixtures – they’re workhorses, and it’s important to have a lamp that works every time,” said Nordic Rentals Production Manager Oscar Olsson.
Lighting Designers were pleased with the rig provided. “I’ve been working with Martin my whole career. Now whenever I see Martin included in the rig, I know I have some good tools to work with,” shared Marius Flatnes, Lighting Designer for Kamelen. “After doing two shows at Palmesus, I am really pleasantly surprised by the MAC Aura Raven. Its punch, colors, speed.. it’s so snappy which is not what I expected from this big of a fixture.”
As the sun set on Kristiansand’s beachfront and thousands of festivalgoers filled the site, Martin Professional and JBL Professional solutions proved their strength in both creative vision and technical execution. By combining cutting-edge lighting fixtures and powerful, yet flexible sound systems, HARMAN Professional underscored its role in shaping the future of live production.
