At InfoComm 2026, Sony used its booth presence to showcase how organizations and integrators can simplify the deployment, monitoring, and management of professional displays. During a conversation with AVNation’s Tim Albright, Kianna Pompa discussed Sony’s tiered approach to display control, ranging from basic provisioning tools to enterprise-level monitoring platforms.
The foundation of Sony’s strategy is its Device Provisioning Tool, a free solution designed to streamline display setup. According to Pompa, the tool allows users to create profiles that can be applied consistently across deployments, helping ensure displays are configured correctly while reducing installation time.
A key capability is Sony’s zero-touch provisioning process. Once a display is connected to a network, a QR code appears on-screen. Installers can scan the code using a mobile device and begin the setup process through a browser-based interface without downloading a separate application. The provisioning process typically takes around 10 minutes and is designed as a one-time setup.
For organizations requiring ongoing visibility and control, Sony also offers its Device Management Platform, a paid service that provides centralized monitoring through a dashboard. The platform supports both end users managing their own display fleets and integrators delivering managed services to customers.
Pompa explained that the platform enables proactive maintenance through device alerts, firmware updates, package installations, and integration with content management system partners. The goal is to help organizations identify issues before they become service calls while simplifying software and device management across deployments.
Sony also highlighted partnerships that extend management capabilities beyond individual displays. Crestron XiO supports Sony Professional BRAVIA displays through monitoring and control functions, including telemetry and remote device management. At the higher end, Sony demonstrated integrations with Xyte, enabling organizations to manage Sony displays alongside products from multiple manufacturers through a unified management interface.
