    Samsung Electronics America has partnered with viral entertainment group Dude Perfect to bring cutting-edge display technology to their new, state-of-the-art DPHQ3 headquarters, an immersive creative space in Frisco, Texas, designed to power the next generation of content creation and collaboration.

    Dude Perfect is a renowned sports and comedy entertainment group made up of five friends: Tyler Toney, Coby Cotton, Cory Cotton, Garrett Hilbert and Cody Jones. What started as a simple backyard bet captured on a single camera has skyrocketed into a global phenomenon. With over 61 million subscribers and 18.5 billion views on YouTube, “the Dudes” have redefined family-friendly content, blending jaw-dropping trick shots, sketches and larger-than-life challenges into one of the most well-known digital brands on the planet.

    When designing the DPHQ3 headquarters, the Dude Perfect team wanted a robust technology infrastructure to support content creation, editing and daily operations. Central to this vision was Samsung display technology, which was selected to elevate the visitor experience while enhancing team collaboration and video production.

    “We really wanted to up the production quality of the space,” said Coby Cotton, Co-Founder of Dude Perfect. “We wanted to create additional studios with more capability than before. Think massive LED backdrops, purposefully lit rooms, more space for athletes and celebrities to film with the Dudes — all aimed at expanding the range of content being produced and attracting more creators to the space.”

    Greeting visitors as they enter DPHQ3 and situated prominently within the Dudes’ executive suite for seamless collaboration are The Wall All-in-One 146-inch 4K and The Wall All-in-One 110-inch 2K. These massive microLED screens deliver stunning brightness, vibrant color accuracy and a jaw-dropping visual experience that sets the tone at Dude Perfect’s headquarters. The Wall can be customized to display personalized welcome messages for guests. In the Dudes’ suite, The Wall enables high-impact presentations and creative, hands-on team meetings. Whether serving as a backdrop for filming or a collaborative screen for reviewing content, The Wall is both a creative powerhouse and a consistent showstopper for all who visit.

    Behind the scenes, Samsung 34-inch ViewFinity S65TC Curved and 32-inch ViewFinity S8 4K monitors in the editing bays deliver ultra-high-definition resolution, true-to-life colors and exceptional detail. When editing videos, these displays reduce eye strain and fatigue by adjusting for brightness and color in real-time, helping the team remain focused and comfortable. Editors can even directly access display feeds from other screens in the building, including The Wall. The Dudes also enjoy using Samsung Odyssey G6 monitors in the team’s racing rig setup.

    Palmer Digital Group (PDG) has unveiled a new ceiling-mount indoor digital display at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago. This sleek 55-inch display is designed for QSR and retail spaces, offering a modern alternative to static window graphics. The display structure includes a built-in media player and power supply at the top.

    PDG’s new display solutions will share space with selections from the company’s range outdoor digital menu boards, available in single, double and triple menu board configurations. PDG will demonstrate the menu boards within PDG’s popular pedestal structures, which offer a robust and lightweight design that requires only two technicians to move into position. The company will also show its optional audio enclosures, a protective housing for speakers and connectivity that attaches to PDG’s pedestal and canopy structures.

    The same enclosures can also house technology to support VoiceAI  applications, which PDG , Vice President Chuck Lewis expects to be a prominent theme in the technology hall this year. “While outdoor digital menu board designs have remained consistent in recent years, VoiceAI adoption has grown substantially over the past 12 months,” said Lewis. “We partner with several companies \leading VoiceAI innovation for QSRs that rely on our enclosures for proximity to ordering systems.     Medical imaging technology leader LG Electronics USA, is introducing a new 31.5-inch, 4K (3840 x 2160 resolution) surgical monitor with advanced Mini LED display technology. This monitor (model 32HR734S) features enhanced color reproduction and local dimming zones to produce clearer, detailed images and precise brightness control.

    Designed as an advanced color video display for various compatible medical imaging systems, the new surgical monitor enables precise brightness control. It also provides an ultra-wide color gamut, optimizing image clarity and color, making it an ideal choice for a variety of surgical applications, including laparoscopy and endoscopy. Its lightweight design (only 21.3 pounds) gives flexibility to the end-user for mounting on surgical arms and booms.

    The display’s Mini LED backlight technology utilizes thousands of tiny LED diodes and provides excellent color consistency across the screen, with 98 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. It has 1,500 local dimming zones, inherent to Mini LED technology, producing clear, detailed images and precise brightness control across the entire LED backlight. This enhances visual contrast by darkening the dark areas and brightening the light areas, significantly enhancing the dynamic contrast ratio up to 1,000,000:1 and reaching a peak brightness up to 2,000 cd/m2. Engineered for durability and reliability, it features high resistance to physical impact, as denoted by its IK06 rating, while its liquid ingress ratings ensure optimal splash protection in surgical environments. It employs Optical Bonding technology, seamlessly integrating the backlight, module, and glass without any air gaps, along with Anti-Glare, Anti-Reflection and Anti-Fingerprint coatings on its front, significantly improving display readability by minimizing reflections and glare – ensuring that image clarity and color response are optimized even in brightly lit surgical environments.

    The launch is also the first LG surgical monitor to incorporate the innovative Clone Screen feature. Clone Screen allows users to duplicate the image being displayed on the Mini LED on a second monitor (connected via HDMI), facilitating operational efficiency and communication within the surgical environment, especially in situations where multiple medical professionals need to view the same image.

    For added versatility, the monitor supports both 4PBP (Picture-by-Picture) and PIP (Picture-in-Picture), allowing it to display input from up to four different sources simultaneously or overlay one input on another. These features enable medical professionals to monitor various critical information streams concurrently on a single screen, enhancing operational efficiency and decision-making. For example, medical staff can view a combination of laparoscopic and endoscopic images while monitoring vital signs. Additionally, Mirror Mode makes it possible to flip the on-screen image horizontally, while Rotation Mode can rotate the image 180 degrees to match the orientation of the surgical camera, allowing users to adjust the display for optimal viewing.

    The monitor supports 12G-SDI, which enables long-distance transmission of 4K signals over a single coaxial cable, while the Failover Input Switch feature ensures uninterrupted video signal by automatically switching to an alternative video source if the primary input fails. This function is compatible across all interfaces, including HDMI, SDI, DVI, and DP, offering flexibility in setup and redundancy in signal sources. Particularly for 12G-SDI, the system can automatically switch from the primary input to the next available input if a signal loss is detected. This seamless transition between inputs minimizes disruptions and ensures consistent video output, essential for surgical applications where continuity of care and image clarity are critical.

    The addition of the new technology-rich, IT Innovative Space – the first such space in New Mexico – is intended to support the university’s learning development initiative, and is part of a broader and ongoing deployment of LG CreateBoard solutions, digital signage displays (primarily within conference rooms and private offices, for wireless presentations), and computer monitors throughout the campus, driven by the success of the IT Innovative Space installation. “Working with LG and our vendor partner, Bluum, on the development of the new NMSU IT Innovative Space, we transformed an underused area of campus into a dynamic new space for learning development,” said Frank Sage, AV specialist at New Mexico State University. “The successful deployment of both the interactive CreateBoard and LG DVLED displays in this space led us to re-evaluate our use of digital display technology across campus.     The 65-inch LG CreateBoard is mounted on a Balance Box 400 mobile stand, allowing it to be repositioned anywhere in the room, either as a horizontal interactive workspace or tabletop solution, primarily for learning game development. With built-in Android 13 software and LG software suite, the intuitive and hyper-functional LG CreateBoard solution boasts a native resolution of 3,840 × 2,160 (UHD), brightness of 400 nits (Typ.), and 50-point multitouch interaction. LG software suite includes LG CreateBoard Share, which establishes a seamless, wireless and stable meeting room or discussion environment, without the need for extra cables or connections.     According to Sage, providing an immersive viewing experience with a 21:9 widescreen aspect ratio (2,560 × 1,080), the 171-inch DVLED is perfect for a variety of videoconferencing platforms, making it ideal for distance learning.     The MSAP is an annual manufacturer assessment evaluating the sustainability of product lifecycles, validated through MindClick’s rigorous audit process.
