Just Add Power AMP Expands Support to Include Ruckus Switches

Just Add Power has announced that its Advanced Matrix Programmer (AMP) software now supports Ruckus ICX8200 series switches. This includes 8-port, 24-port, and 48-port models, enabling broader compatibility for AV-over-IP deployments. AMP is designed to simplify the setup and management of Just Add Power devices and supported network switches, making AV distribution more efficient and intuitive.

This update reflects Just Add Power’s ongoing commitment to expanding its ecosystem and enhancing user experience for IT and AV professionals. With Ruckus now added to the list of compatible switches, network administrators can build more flexible, scalable systems using AMP’s streamlined configuration and control tools.

Just Add Power, a leader in AV-over-IP distribution, today announced that the company’s configuration software, Advanced Matrix Programmer (AMP), has expanded its support list to include Ruckus switches. This development continues Just Add Power’s commitment to providing network management tools that are both comprehensive and versatile.

Just Add Power’s AMP streamlines the configuration of Omega, Ultra, or MaxColor devices as well as supported switches, transforming them into an HDMI distribution system. It also consolidates the setup process for individual devices, making it more efficient and user-friendly.

“We are thrilled to include additional support for Ruckus switches in our Advanced Matrix Programmer,” said Ed Qualls, CEO and founder of Just Add Power. “The addition of Ruckus switch support will undoubtedly enhance the capabilities of network administrators utilizing AMP, which equates to broader compatibility and streamlining operations. This expansion highlights our devotion to exceeding the needs of our customers while also ensuring that AMP remains a prominent solution for diverse networking environments.”

Just Add Power’s AMP simplifies the setup process for individual Just Add Power devices — discovering them on the local network, presenting them in a list, and allowing installers to name them, configure their IP addresses, and assign channels to encoders — then later assisting with desired updates when new firmware is released. Once the Just Add Power system is configured, AMP also provides a user interface that can be used to control source switching.

Expanding support to include Ruckus switches will allow for compatibility with an extensive range of Ruckus ICX8200 series models, covering 8-port, 24-port, and 48-port sizes. Multi-switch configurations are possible with 24- and 48-port supported models.

Atlona Announces Price Reduction Across Three Product Lines

Atlona has announced price reductions of up to 20% on 33 products across its OmniStream, Omega, and 4K HDR product lines. These price cuts are available immediately worldwide, offering IT professionals, distributors, and AV integrators a chance to save on AV over IP, HDBaseT systems, and other AV solutions like switchers and extenders. The move reflects Atlona’s commitment to making advanced AV technology more accessible by passing on cost savings from improved parts availability.

Key OmniStream encoding and decoding solutions, ideal for AV over IP systems, are among the discounted products, giving customers more flexibility in designing scalable networked AV systems. Jamey Swigert, Executive Director at Atlona, emphasized the company’s goal of making AV over IP technology attainable for everyone, highlighting the benefits of lower costs for IT and AV professionals looking to integrate advanced AV systems into their networks.

Atlona, a Panduit company, has reduced the price of 33 products across three key product lines in the spirit of passing on its own cost savings to customers. The pricing reductions are effective immediately and span worldwide.

As reflected in its Q1 price list, the reduction crosses Atlona’s OmniStream, Omega, and 4K HDR product lines, providing distributors, resellers and integrators with compelling opportunities to lower their overall cost of goods across varied AV over IP and HDBaseT system designs. Atlona’s switchers, extenders and AV over IP solutions are among the products that have been reduced up to 20 percent.

The widespread price reduction was inspired by a recent surge in the availability of parts used to manufacture the affected products. Atlona Executive Director Jamey Swigert notes that customers specifying AV over IP systems will find the price reduction of key OmniStream encoding and decoding solutions as particularly valuable.

“We believe that the benefits of AV over IP should be attainable for any customer that wants the design flexibility and systems scalability that come with transitioning AV systems to the network,” said Swigert. “The ability to lower costs of our networked AV solutions along with core HDBaseT and 4K HDR products based on parts availability is a presents an immediate and sensible way to return dollars to the pockets of our customers.”
