Benjamin Larkin appointed president of ListenUp

Larkin is charged with executive oversight and strategic planning for all of ListenUp’s business activities

Benjamin Larkin has been appointed President of ListenUp. As President, Larkin will be charged with executive oversight and strategic planning for all of ListenUp’s business activities, working to build off of the company’s success and advance ListenUp forward into the new decade.

Larkin joined ListenUp in 2007 as a member of the sales staff at the Denver retail store. Throughout his tenure he has held technical leadership roles, building his cross-functional knowledge, culminating in a senior management role as Vice President and General Manager. Larkin was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2018. Larkin holds both an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from the University of Colorado, as well as all of the major certifications from CEDIA and AVIXA.

“I am excited and honored to be able to lead the ListenUp organization going forward. Driving ListenUp’s diversified and forward-thinking business strategy is a challenge I have prepared for my entire career. Working with the talented group of industry veterans and professionals at ListenUp has been an honor, and it is humbling to get the opportunity to lead them into the future,” said Larkin.

“Our focus for 2020 is to increase technology education and design training opportunities for our sales and installation staff. Design-centric selling will prove to be the future of consumer electronics retail,” he added.

Walt Stinson will be taking the title of Chief Executive Officer and will remain active within ListenUp.

ListenUp continues to be a leader in the premium audio/video and custom integration space in the Rocky Mountain region, receiving a Smart Home Division Mark of Excellence Award from CTA last month.
