In Las Vegas, AVNation’s Rich Fregosa is on the InfoComm 2022 show floor with Kenny Red, Chief Information Officer at CTI. As an integrator who originally comes from the customer side of the industry, he is thrilled that his path has led him to his current role.

Kenny is having an excellent experience at InfoComm—it’s not only exciting to see members of his internal team, but also to interact with partners and vendors in person.

While it’s not typical for a company like CTI to have a booth at InfoComm, Kenny says it gives CTI a great place to have conversations. Here, they’re able to discuss and explain how they can best serve the visitors that come to the booth.

This year, CTI had an InfoComm 2022 scholarship that brought college students to the show. They were excited to open up the door for those recipients to see this technology firsthand.

In Las Vegas, AVNation’s Brian Heidgerken is on the InfoComm 2022 show floor with Mark Barragan, Zoom Rooms Sales Lead at Zoom. Mark and his team are excited by the foot traffic and the opportunity to meet customers face-to-face.

Before the pandemic, video conferencing was always done in a conference room—now, it’s done anywhere and everywhere. It was a huge challenge for Zoom initially to create products that work for people in the office and outside of it. Soon, they stepped up to the plate with Smart Gallery. With partners like Neat and Poly, this innovation empowers more meeting equity with additional cameras and angles.

Zoom is just getting started. The goal is to create equal video conferencing opportunities for all participants. Smart Gallery is a more affordable and scalable take on telepresence.

Their latest technology is focused on the hybrid workforce. While some questioned whether Zoom would be relevant in a post-pandemic world, Mark believes that their work is just as important—if not more important than ever.

Next, Mark walks Brian through a Zoom Room demo.

In Las Vegas, AVNation’s Brian Heidgerken is on the InfoComm 2022 show floor with Sarah Baum from Da-Lite. Sarah is happy to be back in person at InfoComm after two years of mostly virtual interactions with coworkers and clients.

Da-Lite has been releasing new products and features throughout the pandemic, but this is the first chance for many of us to see their innovations up close. Two innovations are the Tensioned Electric Screens and Non-Tensioned Electric Screens at their booth. These allow integrators to adjust the height and open up the sight lines above their displays. Collaborates can now avoid reconfiguring spaces to fit everyone on the screen—instead, they can just change the height of their tech.

Da-Lite is excited to offer both these amazing features and easy ordering. Architects and designers love these displays, because they don’t impact the overall look or aesthetic of the room, but still deliver immense functionality.

Ideal for conference rooms, boardrooms, lecture halls, home theatres, and more, Da-Lite’s displays come in a variety of sizes.

For more information on Da-Lite, visit their website here. You can also find them on social media, @dalitescreen.

In Las Vegas, AVNation’s Rich Fregosa is on the InfoComm 2022 show floor with Justin Shong, VP of Sales and Marketing at Jupiter. Justin was initially concerned about the first few tradeshows back after the pandemic pause, but it’s become clear that consumers are excited to show up.

Customers are showing up in droves to see Jupiter’s display products, with the focus being 21:9 displays. They believe this ratio is ideal for the human field of view and the best way for consumers to immerse themselves with a product. It also helps deliver conferencing equity—the physical size of the monitor itself is only three feet tall, so almost anyone can touch the top of it once it’s mounted.

Jupiter wants to encourage tech adoption for everyone—not just the people leading the meeting, and not just the people who are tall enough to take advantage of tech features.

This form factor is available in a variety of sizes as well, and it can be used in portrait mode. They are meant to help users better understand and interact with visual information on the displays.

Their personal displays and monitors at the show were designed with a “Bring Your Own Device” model in mind, meaning that employees can use the devices they’re most comfortable with—whether they’re at home or in the office.

Jupiter believes that 21:9 is the future, both for presentation and collaboration.

In Las Vegas, AVNation’s Brian Heidgerken is on the InfoComm 2022 show floor with Paul Cords, Director of Product Management at Vaddio. Paul has been having an amazing experience at this year’s show, and he’s happy to see the excitement back after a few years of no in-person trade shows.

The last two years have changed the office landscape: it’s not if a room needs a camera, it’s about what kind of camera it needs. (And, when is it going to be installed?) Vaddio has doubled down on products and increased revenue as a result. They’ve also modified their spaces to remove offices and increase production.

Now, they are working on engineering around some supply chain issues—and coming up with some very innovative products as a result. One of those products is the Vaddio EasyIP Ecosystem, an AV-over-IP conferencing system that delivers professional quality conference feeds for UC soft clients.

Vaddio has never launched a product that’s gone faster or further than EasyIP—and the demand is still there. Customers have even asked them to add more audio and camera options, which are the latest innovations that they’re showing off at their booth.

AVNation’s Rich Fregosa is on the InfoComm 2022 Las Vegas show floor with Taft “The Dude” Stricklin of Just Add Power. Taft is excited to celebrate the company’s thirtieth anniversary of creating high-tech video distribution products. Being back with customers, clients, friends, and coworkers has been an excellent experience for Taft and his team.

After spending so much time innovating over the past two years, InfoComm is an excellent opportunity to show off the hard work. In this interview, Taft is proud to feature MaxColor, the company’s newest product. They can now deliver a full 4K60 on every screen across your network. Behind Rich and Taft, there are three screens on display—and the quality is so high that it’s impossible to tell which is direct, and which is through the network.

Taft is very proud of his team for continuing to follow the vision of the company for so many years. He says that companies can either be the first, the best, or the cheapest—but Just Add Power continues to be all three.

In regards to supply chain issues, Just Add Power has been able to come up with unique solutions to ensure that its customers get what they need when they need it. They have excellent inventory and are shipping all products on display now.

Being back with customers, clients, friends, and coworkers has been an excellent experience for Taft and his team.

After spending so much time innovating over the past two years, InfoComm is an excellent opportunity to show off the hard work. Here, Taft is proud to display the Just Add Power Warp Wall. All of the company’s products can do portrait or landscape displays, but to angle something, consumers will need to add the Warp Engine.

The Warp Wall has two options. One is “set it and forget it” mode, where consumers have the display at one specific angle at all times. The other option allows users to turn the angle of the device while it keeps video level.

The Warp has been shipping for about two years now, and it’s been a part of some very innovative and artistic displays.

AVNation’s Brian Heidgerken is on the InfoComm 2022 show floor with Pat Kittredge, a Marketing team member at Middle Atlantic. Pat has been thrilled with the show so far—he’s happy to see customers face-to-face again.

Though people know the company for many things, Middle Atlantic has been in the power business for more than 20 years. They recently launched a new power platform called Nexus—it has power distribution units, and they’re taking a holistic approach to how to power AV systems. It also includes surge protection, voltage protection, and more.

As people are coming back into the office, Middle Atlantic is also making innovations in furniture. Their new line of products in that category is called Forum, which includes display stands and tables with acoustic felt for improved audio quality. Thanks to their variety of table shapes, they’re helping improve meeting equity as well—now, everyone can be seen on camera during video calls.

Middle Atlantic works with designers and architects to create furniture that looks like it belongs in any office space.

InfoComm 2022: Harman Brings New Loud Speakers to the Tradeshow Floor with Rick Kamlet

AVNation’s Brian Heidgerken is on the InfoComm 2022 show floor with Rick Kamlet, Senior Product Manager at Harman. Rick manages the commercial installation of loudspeaker products, and here in Las Vegas, Harman is introducing eight new models in that category.

Behind Brian and RIck is the Control 89. The Control Series offers a variety of landscape loudspeakers, ideal for outdoor use. These are very easy to install because they stay above ground, not requiring much excavation at all to get the high-quality sound that Harman is known for.

As more and more people want to enjoy the benefits of outdoor sound systems, they need more bass. As opposed to indoor sound, outdoor sound doesn’t have walls or other objects reinforcing sound. Instead, in outdoor applications, Harman seeks to create that base for full spectrum sound quality.

The Control Series works through all weather conditions—rain, shine, or snow. In addition, Harman has launched the GSB In-Ground Subwoofers. These require a little bit more excavation, but they’re perfect for places where customers don’t want the speakers to be seen above ground. Consumers can landscape around them so that the tops of the speakers blend in.

Some companies make in-ground speakers in such a way that the chamber is on the sides of the cap. Harman has found that landscapers often damage them without even knowing that it’s there. Instead, they put the chamber in a small cabinet directly below the part of the speaker that you can see above ground.

For more information on Harman’s JBL speakers, visit their website here. You can also find them on social media, @TheJBLpro.

AVNation’s Brian Heidgerken is on the InfoComm 2022 show floor with Ann Ewoldt, Product Marketing Manager at Chief. Ann is excited to be in Las Vegas for an in-person experience focused on everything that her company has been up to for the last couple of years.

One such innovation is the TiLED Direct View LED Video Wall Mounting System by Chief. As more displays are launched, Chief has been developing new mounts to match the unique quirks of each brand. Although these mounts have many of the benefits of a customized product, Chief sets itself apart by keeping each model in stock and ready for shipping whenever its customers are.

Chief takes pride in having a very modular, easy-to-use design. If a consumer has mounted a display with one Chief product, they can mount a display with any Chief product—it never feels like starting from scratch. Along with the consistency of installation, Chief also offers installation services from a team of engineers. They’re also implementing online services that can visually show customers what their mount will look like, and how to install it.
