On the InfoComm 2022 show floor in Las Vegas, AVNation’s Rich Fregosa is with Joseph Burke, a 13-year veteran and Liaison Manager at Draper. Having recently moved over from the United Kingdom, he now helps to support all clients in the U.S. west of the Mississippi.

Joseph is excited to introduce us to some new products on display on the show floor. Draper is well known for projection screens, and they’re still a big part of who and what the company is. Projection screens allow customers to utilize the latest technology when they need it and still open up any space for a cleaner look when they’re done using it.

That’s where the Acumen comes in. Draper refers to this innovation as a channel-fixed product, giving organizations the freedom to mount the screen with the freedom of movement. Users can also remove the front—the roller is held on by two main brackets, making the installation process especially simple, even if users are doing it often.

There are a number of material options as well—Draper believes that there’s no one size fits all solution. Instead, they treat every customer as a unique project and tailor solutions to their specific needs. There are countless types of working environments, and consumers can choose what fits theirs the best.

Draper is also excited to showcase their new scissor lift, re-engineered to be stronger and tougher. It caters to a much larger variety of projectors.

Though Draper doesn’t strive to be a price leader, integrators may find that their prices are often more affordable than competitors due to Draper’s streamlined process.

AVNation’s Rich Fregosa is in Las Vegas on the InfoComm 2022 show floor. Here, he’s with Kevin Barlow, Director of Business Development at Draper. Draper has had a longstanding impact on the industry, Kevin is thrilled to be back at what he likens to a family reunion on the show floor.

Even as they celebrate their 120th anniversary, Draper has several brand new innovations on display at this year’s InfoComm. Right at the beginning of the pandemic, they launched both LCD and LED video wall solutions in their Foundation Mousts and custom, tailored mounts. These make the installation process faster, easier, and more efficient.

Draper works with most brands to design support that is not universal but rather tailored to fit the brand—and how consumers use it. They’re very much focused on flexibility and making the lives of integrators as simplified as possible when it comes to Draper products.

Key elements of their real-world installations include, most importantly, accurate and precise models that prioritize ease of use for installers. Additionally, Draper offers installation services—integrators can then enjoy the benefit of having expert service from those who know the products, partners, and brands best. Draper prides itself on offering an end-to-end experience, treating each project as a unique entity.

Though Draper doesn’t strive to be a price leader, integrators may find that their prices are often more affordable than competitors due to Draper’s streamlined process.

AVNation’s Rich Fregosa is in Las Vegas on the InfoComm 2022 show floor. Here, he’s back with Brian McClimans, Vice President of Sales in North America and APAC at Peerless-AV. It may be hot outside in Vegas, but the products that Brian is showcasing in the Peerless-AV booth today aren’t bothered in the slightest.

These gorgeous and smart outdoor displays are often used for bars, restaurants, backyards, and other light commercial uses. All three sizes (55, 65, and 75) are stocked and available for shipping today. Peerless-AV has seen a very high rate of satisfaction from their customers with respect to these new models.

Peerless-AV also offers a commercial display line coming in 55″ and 65″, with plans to launch a 75″ model. They work in both portrait and landscape, and they’re designed in such a way that you can watch them wearing sunglasses and still enjoy the full experience. They’re ideal for digital menu boards, cruise ships, stadiums, and more.

These displays are 2500 nit, a noticeable upgrade in brightness. McClimans also tells us about the importance of contrast, which is why Peerless-AV optically bonds the LCD glass to the outer glass. You can’t out-bright the sun, but with this innovation, users can read the display comfortably.

When it comes to temperature, these Peerless-AV displays are designed to run efficiently from -31 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, making them ideal for any geographic location—including the Rust Belt and the midwest.

For more information on Peerless-AV visit their website here. You can also find them on social media, @PeerlessAV. Follow them for progress on their upcoming factory showroom, where customers will be able to experience these solutions in person.

For InfoComm 2022, AVNation’s Rich Fregosa is in Las Vegas on the show floor with Brian McClimans, Vice President of Sales in North America and APAC at Peerless-AV. Brian is thrilled to be at InfoComm 2022 for face-to-face interactions with coworkers, integrators, and exhibitors.

Peerless-AV flew in their whole sales team for the show and had their global sales meeting before doors opened—they felt certain that this would be an enlightening experience for all.

One of the major products that Peerless-AV is showcasing at their booth is Seamless. They have standard solutions for flat walls, but here at InfoComm 2022, they’re launching Bespoke solutions that can be displayed on curves and corners. The job of Peerless-AV is to position pixels globally, just as the engineers behind this tech intended for them to be.

Seamless is not a mount—it’s a structure. There aren’t walls designed to hold the power of Seamless, so the installations are built into the floor exactly where the LED should be. Oftentimes, Peerless-AV is designing these before buildings are finished. From front to end, Brian’s company ensures that everything is perfectly placed. Peerless-AV is in the structure business.

For InfoComm 2022, AVNation’s Brian Heidgerken is in Las Vegas on the show floor with Joe Andrulis, Executive Vice President at Biamp. Joe and his team have been delighted with the enthusiastic in-person response at their booth, and he’s excited to talk through some of his company’s latest innovations.

Biamp’s major focus over the past few years has been hybrid work and video conferencing. Here at InfoComm, Biamp is showing off some products released during the pandemic that not many users have had the chance to see in person yet—especially not working together as an ecosystem.

Biamp has released several audio and visual compliments to its heritage products, which include solutions for meeting rooms and companies of just about any size. Noting the importance of flexibility, they have designed options to support Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex—and also options to support every different space type. Ease of use is key for all, and Biamp also prioritizes ease of ownership for IT industry workers at these companies.

Joe tells us that Biamp has been on an exciting growth journey over the past few years, innovating new solutions to match the evolving needs of their customers. Even beyond video conferencing, Biamp has launched a control team during the pandemic that allows the company to support tech solutions on every level. They also have specialized solutions for industries like hospitality and retail, so that when they come back, it’s better than ever.

  • InfoComm 2022: Video Conferencing Cameras are Highlighted by Jabra with Aurangzeb Khan

InfoComm 2022: Video Conferencing Cameras are Highlighted by Jabra with Aurangzeb Khan

    [bc_video video_id=”6307597868112″ account_id=”6090301008001″ player_id=”gC3LGGyv8″ embed=”in-page” padding_top=”56%” autoplay=”” min_width=”0px” playsinline=”” picture_in_picture=”” max_width=”640px” mute=”” width=”100%” height=”100%” aspect_ratio=”16:9″ sizing=”responsive” ]

AVNation’s Brian Heidgerken is in Las Vegas for InfoComm 2022. Here, he’s back with Aurangzeb Khan, Senior Vice President and Inventor at Jabra. Brian and Aurangzeb are happy to see InfoComm returned to its former glory now that they’re back in person, but it’s also been an accelerated two years for innovation—showing everyone just how important quality audio and video can be.

To make a good impression with coworkers while working remotely, Aurangzeb explains the benefits of Jabra’s PanaCast 20. It’s a video conferencing camera with state-of-the-art AI built in. However, when meeting participants are in a room with others, their pixel real estate goes down. The solution for that is dynamic composition, available using the 3-camera PanaCast 50. While showing everyone the full 180-degree view of the meeting room, this device also has three independent cameras that generate the four most active participants and deliver a composite view that gives them more prominent pixel real estate.

For Jabra, the core idea is that great technology fades into the background, quietly empowering workers to get the job done. His team loves technology, but most consumers using this technology are at the meeting to work and collaborate, not to play around with the products, no matter how high-end.

Jabra also offers products like the Speak 710, an omnidirectional microphone that delivers 360-degree coverage. It’s included in the Meet Anywhere+ bundle, a set of tools for remote and traveling workers that enables users to bring efficient meeting spaces with them wherever they go. Some larger companies have even sent these bundles out to entire teams to bring meeting equality to all. Jabra’s tools compensate for the different backgrounds, lighting, and locations of everyone involved.

For more information on Jabra, visit their website here. You can also find them on social media, @We_are_Jabra. Or, to talk to Aurangzeb directly, you can email him at akhan@jabra.com.

AVNation’s Brian Heidgerken is in Las Vegas for InfoComm 2022. Here, he’s joined by Aurangzeb Khan, Senior Vice President and Inventor at Jabra. Aurangzeb is excited to be a part of another busy day on the show floor with industry leaders and consumers alike.

Jabra has a couple of new products debuting. One of them is the Engage 55 Headset, an industry-first product, as well as an ongoing collaboration with Microsoft and Zoom that they’re showing off on the floor today.

Jabra believes in the paradigm of hybrid work. A lot of knowledge workers can get the job done anywhere, so the key is having the technology that empowers consumers to shine. Aurangzeb’s team is passionate about creating products for high-quality audio and video experience that makes a good impression on those that consumers are collaborating with.

Last year, Jabra did a survey on workers in the industry, and they found that there was a demand for products that increase and promote concentration. The nature of meeting rooms is changing, so Jabra is putting its efforts into creating tools that allow collaborators to work clearly and efficiently from anywhere. One way that their moving closer and closer to meeting equality is through intelligent cameras—they pioneered the idea of giving workers in larger meeting rooms added pixel real estate using virtual dedicated cameras for the last four active participants. While everyone will still have that unique, 180-degree panoramic view, this keeps the most active users front-and-center, and everyone engaged.

For more information on Jabra, visit their website here. You can also find them on social media, @We_are_Jabra. Or, to talk to Aurangzeb directly, you can email him at akhan@jabra.com.

In Las Vegas for InfoComm 2022, AVNation’s Brian Heidgerken is with David Bryan, Chief Technology Officer at Poly. David is excited to be at the show to hear from visitors about their ongoing needs when it comes to working from home, returning to work,  and hybrid work.

Poly has been in the video conferencing game from the beginning, so here at InfoComm 2022, they’re excited to show off new pieces that are specifically focused on the hybrid work environment. One of these solutions is the R30, a video bar designed for small and medium-sized rooms compatible with USB. Ideal for any meeting from a huddle to a 4 to 5-person room, the high-quality cameras and clear audio are designed specifically to pick up everyone involved.

Poly has a whole range of video bars, from products meant for one or two participants at home to entire board rooms. The R30 delivers the mid-range flexibility that so many people are looking for today—employees aren’t just going into the office to work, they’re going in to collaborate. They also are not necessarily interested in only taking these video calls from one specified location. Poly is seeing a demand for products that allow consumers to work from open spaces in the office, oftentimes so that participants can be around others as they work.

Given that insight, Poly has other innovations in the works. They’re designing products meant to eliminate extraneous noises using a visual acoustic fence. Their producer AI also helps the cameras to follow participants during a meeting, allowing consumers the freedom to move around as the call goes on.

InfoComm 2022: Daktronics Brings Speed Frame Wall Mounting System to Las Vegas

AVNation’s Rich Fregosa is in Las Vegas on the InfoComm 2022 show floor, and he’s back with Jim Vasgaard, National Sales Manager for AV Sales Partners at Daktronics. Now that Jim has walked us through a few popular Daktronics displays, he’s here to speak on a common issue: mounting those displays.

One of the things that the Daktronics team has been working on lately is the Speed Frame Wall Mounting System, which they’ve found to decrease installation time by at least a factor of two. This system is designed to eliminate time-consuming aspects of mounting your display: locating studs, precise measurements, and more. Jim tells us to think of it as a bit of a floating floor installation—each new panel is added and stacked as the process of creating the mount continues.

Now, Daktronics can save integrators the time and headache of getting their high-quality displays up and running. Instead, they can use that time to get to work with a much higher rate of satisfaction.

To get more information on Daktronics’ entire product portfolio and use-cases, visit their website here. You can also find them on social media, @Daktronics.

InfoComm 2022: Showcasing In-House Displays from Daktronics with Jim Vasgaard

AVNation’s Rich Fregosa is in Las Vegas on the InfoComm 2022 show floor, this time with Jim Vasgaard, National Sales Manager for AV Sales Partners at Daktronics. Jim is thrilled to be back in business, seeing coworkers and clients in person for the first time in a long time.

Jim talks us through a few very popular Daktronics products with key applications. The first is a 1.2mm display, boasting tremendous quality and color depth with no pixelation. What sets Daktronics apart is that they build their products in the United States—South Dakota to be specific. Their team doesn’t have to wait for pieces to be shipped from other countries—everything is done in-house. It helps them in terms of quality, ease of operation, and access to ongoing support. This display in particular is ideal for conference room setups where teams are trying to get away from projectors or video walls.

Their other product on the floor is the .9mm, which is a tighter display that many thought technologies could go until recently. This is an excellent product for an operation center, command center, or even a briefing room. A user can get very close without experiencing any feeling of heat, which gives consumers comfort as well as increases the longevity of the product. Even in a small physical area, the .9mm allows users to view a significant amount of information in high resolution.

Daktronics products have a lot of grayscales, or black-and-white capability, which is essential for command centers working with black and white cameras, street cameras, soldier cams, and drone footage. HDR is not necessarily a factor in those settings—what’s important are the fine details.

To get more information on Daktronics’ entire product portfolio and use-cases, visit their website here. You can also find them on social media, @Daktronics.
