Control Concepts Supported Product Program Expands with New Manufacturers and Products

Control Concepts, founded in 1997, is working in software integration for manufacturers’ products with AV control systems, offering plugins, drivers, modules, middleware, and support, as well as system standardization and AV system consulting.

Control Concepts, Inc. has expanded its Control Concepts Supported Product program with Lutron, Nureva, Panasonic Connect, Smart Monkeys, and SurgeX.

This expansion aims to provide a definitive way for programmers to identify products with authorized, proven, and supported control modules, drivers, and plugins. The program assures manufacturers and programmers that these products have manufacturer backing, control platform endorsement, and active support from Control Concepts’ experienced team of developers. This move emphasizes the importance of reliable control solutions and technical support for successful AV project outcomes.

Control Concepts, Inc., the premier software developer for the AV industry, is excited to announce the expansion of its Control Concepts Supported Product program with the addition of Lutron, Nureva, Panasonic Connect, Smart Monkeys, and SurgeX to join AVPro Edge, AtlasIED and Hunter Douglas.

“The Control Concepts Supported Product program continues to receive positive responses from both manufacturers and programmers who are seeking a definitive way to distinguish products that have authorized, proven, and supported control modules, drivers, and plugins,” remarked Steve Greenblatt, Control Concepts President and Founder. “There are a lot of unofficial solutions that programmers can find themselves implementing without knowing. The Control Concepts Supported Product program brings to light products with authorized control integrations that are backed by the manufacturer, endorsed by the control platform, and actively supported by our experienced team of developers. Programmers in the field can rest assured that these products will be controlled effectively and that they will receive the technical support they need to resolve any programming challenges.”

The continued growth of this program demonstrates the importance and value that ease of control and product integration have to manufacturers while providing programmers with a tried-and-true solution that addresses their specific needs.

Manufacturers whose products are Control Concepts Supported benefit from the knowledge, experience, and reputation built over 25 years of the company’s rich history as AV control system programmers. Control Concepts Supported Products also offer specifiers confidence in choosing these products over alternatives that may not offer the same ease of control, programming, integration, and interoperability.

“When it comes to controlling products, we have found that even the best written and most fully vetted modules, drivers, and plugins do not guarantee successful project outcomes,” shared Brittany DiCesare, Director of Sales and Operations at Control Concepts. “It is our top-notch technical support and assurance that products will be controlled effectively, even when firmware versions change, that programmers and manufacturers value.”

“With numerous unofficial developments for control available in the market, programmers need to be able to trust in a manufacturer-backed solution,” continued DiCesare. “It is now imperative for programmers to seek out not only a quality-authored module, driver, or plugin to ensure guaranteed control results, they must also have the support they need to ensure a successful project implementation.”

The Control Concepts Supported Product program continues to raise the bar by setting a new standard in the industry, empowering integrators and programmers with the confidence that they can rely upon products with proven control backed by a company that understands the needs and challenges of AV programmers.

Each of the new cameras is in certification for Microsoft Teams® and Zoom Rooms® software, and were designed in-house to integrate seamlessly with Crestron Flex solutions powering a one-touch meeting experience for Microsoft Teams or Zoom Rooms software: With a single tap, users can initiate an automated, broadcast-quality video production that immerses live participants and results in high-quality collaboration for all.

Intelligent PTZ Cameras With Visual AI
The Crestron 1 Beyond i12 and i20 models are intelligent PTZ cameras boasting built-in Visual AI, perfect for enhancing framing and tracking in medium to large rooms.

An onboard processing unit and built-in reference camera allow the i12 and i20 to swiftly and intelligently frame and track groups, presenters, or zones. Industry-leading Crestron Visual AI detects and tracks a speaker even when the subject is turned away or wearing a mask, and anticipates behaviors for smooth, natural camera movement.

The i12 model, designed for medium to large spaces, offers 12x optical zoom and can be used for either group framing or basic presenter tracking up to 25 feet. Using Visual AI, two i12 cameras can be paired together and when someone enters or exits a designated zone the cameras will switch automatically. The i20 model is tailored for large and extra-large spaces, providing 20x optical zoom. It features enhanced presenter tracking up to 50 feet with group tracking and preset zones.

Standard PTZ Cameras With Speaker Tracking
The Crestron 1 Beyond p12 and p20 models are standard PTZ cameras. The p12 is suitable for medium and large rooms with 12x optical zoom, while the p20 is ideal for large and extra-large rooms, offering 20x optical zoom.

Crestron 1 Beyond cameras are designed for flexible deployment as standalone devices or as part of a multicamera solution. Using Crestron Automate VX multi-camera speaker tracking solution, up to 12 cameras can be leveraged in a single space with automatic switching, framing, and tracking based on who is speaking so every angle can be captured.

“The new Crestron 1 Beyond cameras are the latest leap forward in our growing portfolio of hybrid work solutions,” says Brad Hintze, EVP of global marketing at Crestron. “These cameras are designed to redefine the video experience in larger meeting spaces, ensuring that every participant, no matter their location in the room, is captured with perfect clarity for a professional video experience. This innovation is a testament to our commitment to enhancing meeting equity and engagement in the evolving landscape of workplace collaboration.”

The display features 18-bit colour depth when paired with the self-developed AUO controller, and it supports HDR formats to provide richer colours and smoother gradation. Its 4K resolution image and 120 Hz frame rate create smoother images, with increased details. AUO sphere image processing technology (powered by an AUO self-developed controller) allows partners to transform flat images into spherical content to fit the dome display, whilst real-time image processing enables players to interact with content instantaneously.

PlexusAV to show all-new products and features at ISE 2024

PlexusAV, a division of Sencore, presents a human-focused AV-over-IP ecosystem based on IPMX, ensuring compatibility and stress-free solutions for broadcast production.

At ISE 2024, PlexusAV will feature its fully equipped AVOIP system, highlighting USB-C, RS232, IR, and introducing a new Stream Conversion Gateway.

PlexusAV will demonstrate its AVOIP system, AVN4, Visual Array, and Stream Conversion Gateway, highlighting advanced features and technological advancements, aiming to make a mark in the European market.

PlexusAV, the professional AV division of Sencore, providing a suite of human-focused AV-over-IP solutions, are thrilled to announce that they will be showcasing the companies fully featured PlexusAV AVOIP system based on IPMX at ISE 2024. The system includes highly sought after features such as USB-C, RS232, IR and will also now highlight their all-new Stream Conversion Gateway

Steven Cogels – Global Director of Business Development for PlexusAV advised “The ISE 2024 show marks the full debut of our entire new range of products in Europe. This includes the AVN4, Visual Array and Stream Conversion Gateway, which will all now be demonstrated working together in our booth (4G510 in Hall 4) at the show. Whilst the products are all designed to utilize the interoperable IPMX platform, they are not dependent on it. The range is packed with features and benefits that make the lives of the AV Consultants, System Integrators and End Users so much easier, when both specifying and using the PlexusAV range.”

Aaron Doughten – Director of Technology for PlexusAV confirmed “We are so excited as a company to be showing at ISE 2024. For those that don’t know our ranges and products, I’ve provided an overview below. However, I strongly encourage all attendees of ISE2024 to come and see the amazing results of all our hard work over the past 12 months for themselves at our booth.

The Plexus AVN-4 transceiver, the systems encoder and decoder of video and audio signals, adds advanced features like video thumbnail support and one-click source switching. These new features make configuration and monitoring of content a breeze on the P-AVN-4. Thanks to NMOS (the control protocol in IPMX) the transceiver provides simple, easy to use signal routing allowing video, audio, and control on separate ethernet ports. And to top it off, the Flawless Imaging Profile (FIP) is an advanced video encoding that boosts quality for the most challenging video content.

At PlexusAV, we don’t force you to buy our Visual Array management platform, but we think it packs a punch! The Visual Array makes a PlexusAV system truly turn-key by providing:

    • Bulk deployment, with the ability to configure large number of units quickly and is super easy to drive.
    • System Dashboard providing device statistics, alarm aggregation and even handy tools such as IGMP auto detect and IP Conflict detection.
    • Bring up a full PlexusAV system quickly and auto configure transceivers, create video walls, and monitor content with live video thumbnails from one screen.

Finally, the all-new PlexusAV – Stream Conversion Gateway (SCG)

The SCG is making its European debut at ISE2024, and we will demonstrate how the system supports various other non-IPMX protocols and allows those to flow in and out of the PlexusAV network.

    • The SCG allows your AV over IP installation to break free from the traditional limitations of other AV over IP solutions that ignore existing 3rdparty protocol-based sources.
    • There is no need to go back to baseband to connect signals in your AV over IP network to “outside” destinations such as lecture capture platforms or archiving solutions. We’ve also now added NDI capabilitiesto the SCG to provide users with further expanded interoperability. It’s super-exciting times for PlexusAV and we can’t wait to share what we have to the audience at ISE 2024.”
